Claire Waterman

Registered Counseling Associate

Approach to Therapy

As a former first responder and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate and effective mental health services to those in need. My unique experiences have shaped my understanding of the diverse challenges faced by individuals from various backgrounds, particularly those who may feel marginalized or misunderstood. Having served on the front lines, I have witnessed the profound impact of trauma and the importance of mental health support in navigating life's difficulties. This background has instilled in me a strong sense of empathy, resilience, and the ability to connect with clients on a personal level. I recognize the unique pressures and stigmas that often accompany both first responders and members of the LGBTQ+ community, and I am dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space where individuals can share their experiences without fear of judgment.

My goal as a counselor is to empower my clients by fostering open dialogue, promoting self-acceptance, and providing tailored therapeutic strategies that honor their individual journeys. I believe that understanding and validation are crucial in the healing process, and I am passionate about using my insights and skills to help others navigate their challenges and achieve their mental health goals. Together, we can work towards healing, growth, and a more fulfilled life. I am here to listen, support, and guide those who seek help from someone who truly understands their unique experiences.
